CE marking of conveyor machines for component separation of small parts and feeding to further processing steps

easyCE supports the entire conformity assessment procedure, including risk assessment, up to the declaration of conformity for conveyor technology machines that is ready for signature. Due to many moving machine parts and the associated danger of being pulled in or crushed, special focus had to be placed on user safety

Considers, among others: 2006/42/EG, 2004/108/EG, 2006/95/EG, EN 620, EN 618:2002+A1, EN 617 2001+A1, etc.

CE marking and declaration of conformity for laser marking machine

CE marking and declaration of conformity for a 2D laser cutting system

easyCE supports the entire conformity assessment procedure for a 2D laser cutting system with automatic pallet changer. The entire safety concept, including the 2-beam light barrier, was coordinated for the laser cutting system, the performance level was determined, a product analysis was created and a risk assessment was carried out in accordance with EN ISO 12100. Special requirements result for the mechanical components of the traverse for the laser cutting head, but especially for the kinematics of the pallet changer and laser cutting head. The cutting process (laser class 4) inside the cabin is safely shielded from the operator by laser protection screens, additional safety devices and the complete enclosure: laser class 1 outside the machine.

CE marking and declaration of conformity of granulator with nitrogen in the pharmaceutical sector

CE marking for granulator with nitrogen and vacuum connection for use in pharmaceutical production

easyCE supports the CE marking of old machines on which significant changes have been made. The machine is a granulator with a nitrogen and vacuum connection for use in pharmaceutical production. In addition to conformity with the harmonized standards of the Machinery Directive, Annex I of the Machinery Directive must also be observed due to the area of application in the pharmaceutical industry. This results in increased requirements for materials and surface finishes. The structural design of the machine must also meet special requirements, for example in relation to the ability to dismantle, storage design, lubrication and the avoidance of dead spaces.

Takes into account among others: Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Annex I

CE marking and declaration of conformity of test bench for pressure testing in the pharmaceutical sector

CE marking for a test bench for pressure testing of low-pressure units in the pharmaceutical sector

The first challenge was to decide whether the Pressure Equipment Directive needed to be applied to this machine. With easyCE's guidance, the manufacturer was able to carry out some measurements on the machine, which ultimately meant that the Pressure Equipment Directive did not need to be applied. Although this made the process easier, a thorough risk assessment and the development of appropriate safety measures were still required within the usual framework. In particular, easyCE was able to verify and ensure the high hygiene standards of the pharmaceutical industry by accurately comparing them with EN ISO 14159, so that the CE conformity assessment process could be successfully completed and a CE marking for the test bench could be created.

Takes into account among others: Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Annex I, EN ISO 14159

CE marking and declaration of conformity of filter cassettes

CE marking for a test station for filter cassettes

The product assessed was a coagulation robot that treats raw meat samples with a coagulation needle to simulate the smoke emissions during a medical treatment. This serves the purpose of testing filter cassettes for exhaust air systems. In addition to the typical requirements for machines, special attention had to be paid to hygiene in the conformity assessment of this product, as handling raw meat can quickly lead to health risks. Thanks to easyCE's many years of experience and expertise and its close orientation to En ISO 14159, this project was brought to a successful conclusion.

CE marking and declaration of conformity for industrial battery storage systems for capacity control of grid utilization.

Conformity assessment, CE marking and technical documentation for multi-megawatt industrial battery storage systems

easyCE accompanies the development process and carries out the entire conformity assessment for CE marking, including risk assessment for industrial battery storage systems of several megawatts for capacity control of grid utilization. easyCE also creates the operating instructions and other technical documentation for the battery storage system.

A particular challenge with the CE marking of battery storage systems is the lack of suitable harmonized standards. Therefore, various regulations were combined to comprehensively consider the system. To do this, the experts at easyCE were able to identify particularly applicable rules from the harmonized standards for photovoltaic systems. For example, standards such as EN 60204-1 and EN 62109 were used from the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU). The experts at easyCE support you in the development of your system regardless of size and capacity. This means that small systems for private use as well as large systems used with the low-voltage network can be considered.

CE marking for a small hydropower plant.

CE marking for a small hydropower plant

easyCE carried out the entire conformity assessment procedure for a small hydropower plant consisting of a turbine, generator, hydraulic unit, control valves and control cabinet in a cavern. Through a targeted interface analysis, the small hydropower plant was clearly distinguished from additional safety requirements that could have applied due to the special location. This enabled the required compliance documentation to be drawn up quickly and successfully.

CE marking for mobile incline conveyors

The CE marking for the mobile incline conveyor, a device for the efficient transport of bulk materials, was an exciting challenge that we at easyCE mastered with competence and care. The device's ability to transport materials up to 10 meters high despite its small footprint required a particularly careful risk assessment and the development of adequate safety measures, especially with regard to the stability of the device. We worked closely with the manufacturer to identify all potential hazards associated with operating the incline conveyor. Our focus was particularly on the height adjustment and movement of the device on uneven terrain. Thanks to our extensive experience and technical know-how, we were able to ensure that all requirements of the various directives were met and give the manufacturer the assurance that their product meets the high safety standards of the EU.

Considered among others: EN 12100, EN 4413, EN 618

CE marking and declaration of conformity for mobile incline conveyors

CE marking for a trailer pump for transporting concrete

The CE marking for the trailer pump, a mobile device for transporting concrete, was particularly challenging. As this product was already sold outside the EU, the main focus was on checking and implementing the demanding EU safety regulations that apply to all types of machinery. The conformity assessment required a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential hazards and determine appropriate safety measures and check their implementation. The challenge was to ensure compliance with a wide range of standards and regulations, ranging from the general Machinery Directive to specific C standards for the product. With the support of easyCE, the company was able to meet all the requirements to successfully obtain CE marking. Our team worked closely with the customer to ensure that the trailer pump met the EU's high safety standards without compromising the efficiency and performance of the product.

CE marking and declaration of conformity of drug tests

CE marking for drug tests

In this specific case of a multi-drug test, the decision on CE marking requirements depends on the user group. While a drug test for law enforcement purposes is exempt, a drug test for medical purposes falls under the new Medical Device Regulations (EU) 2017/745 and In Vitro Diagnostics (EU) 2017/746 as a Class C product. In this project, easyCE adapts the schedule to the customer in a particularly flexible manner, as unexpected problems arise during production. Even after completion of the commissioned project (Technical File, Hazard Identification, Identification of Safety-Related Characteristics, GSPR File, Risk Management Plan, Declaration of Conformity) and handover to the customer, design changes to the product occur. easyCE adapts the conformity documents and advises on necessary changes to the technical documents. Finally, easyCE contacts notified bodies on behalf of the customer and accompanies the customer during registration in EUDAMED to obtain SRN and basic UDI-DI.
